Flexible NdFeB Magnet

柔性钕铁硼(NdFeB)磁体

Flexible NdFeB is a rubber-bonded permanent magnet that combines the high magnetic energy product of rapid-quenched NdFeB powder with the flexibility and processability of rubber or plastic binders. It bridges the performance gap between sintered NdFeB and flexible ferrite — higher (BH)max than ferrite sheet, yet bendable, impact-resistant, and easy to cut.

AIC Engineering supplies flexible NdFeB in two series: R (high operating temperature, low temperature coefficient of remanence) for automotive and industrial use up to 120 °C, and RE (lower operating temperature, higher energy product) for consumer electronics up to 100 °C. Forms include calendered sheet, slit rolls, extruded strips, die-cut parts, and pressed rings.

Because the compound is rubber-based, finished magnets resist impact, will not shatter, and can be embedded with metal or non-metal inserts during moulding — ideal for complex shapes that sintered NdFeB cannot deliver, such as thin magnetic cards, curved mounting surfaces, and overmoulded assemblies.

Key Features

Higher (BH)max Than Ferrite

Up to 9.5 MGOe (RE series) — 3–5× the energy product of flexible ferrite, in a bendable sheet.

Rubber-Bonded & Flexible

Bends, rolls, and die-cuts without cracking — suitable for curved surfaces and overmoulded parts.

Two Temperature Series

R series up to 120 °C with low α(Br) −0.11 %/°C; RE series up to 100 °C with higher energy product.

Impact-Resistant

Will not shatter like sintered magnets — embeddable with metal or plastic inserts during moulding.

Magnetic Grades

Typical values at room temperature, sourced from the AIC Flexible NdFeB performance data sheet. Representative subset shown — full R2–R9 and RE2–RE6 series available on request. R: high operating temperature, low temperature coefficient. RE: lower operating temperature, higher energy product.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about our magnets, customisation, ordering and shipping.

What is a flexible NdFeB magnet?
+
Flexible NdFeB is a rubber/polymer-bonded NdFeB sheet or strip that can be bent, cut, and adhesive-backed — combining higher strength than flexible ferrite with the conformability of rubber magnets.
What are flexible NdFeB magnets used for?
+
Typical uses include sealing, latching, signage, displays, sensors, and gaskets where a thin, bendable magnet with higher holding force than ferrite rubber is needed.
Can flexible NdFeB be supplied with adhesive backing?
+
Yes. Flexible NdFeB is available with pressure-sensitive adhesive backing, die-cut to shape, and in multi-pole magnetised patterns for application-specific holding and sensing.
